Written in 2003, and completed in the compilation that became Objects + Particles in 2005; ‘V’ is a conversation about the smallest moments of measured time and what they want to express. The album was influenced greatly by “Invisible Connections” by Vangelis, and other early electro-acoustic composers. Many layers of recordings of various different clocks (wrist watches, grandfather and chime clocks, digital and analog were collected and put in a sessions, where they were randomly selected as in “chance music” and pitched down several percentages.

Once that was completed the scrubbing tools moved over the different tracks at different moments, played almost like an instrument. The sound that was produced was recorded by another system and then was edited, layered and worked up into the final composition.

The title refers to the mathematical object of Variable.
