Related in idea to ‘Optical Record Pipe’, ‘Jade Flower Memory Index’ speaks to a concept that sentient memory doesn’t have a locality, as in it lives within an ephemeral dimension. Where does memory live? And where is it in a collection of electronic sentience.

These are the ideas in Objects + Particles, and with the first track of the album of challenging sound ‘Jade Flower Memory Index’ sets the tone. Written in 2004, and completed in 2005, the music is comprised of sound that has been pitched and processed through extreme verbs and then processed though the production algorithm several times, to the point where the frequencies of the hidden conversations started to emerge.

It was this procedure that lead to the macro-idea for the collection, which became the album.
