Granular manipulation of sampled guitar jazz chords, sampled back upon itself, was the starting point for Flower, the sixth track on 2022’s Natura. Like most of my compositions its based upon simple scales and chords, placed in juxtaposition. Extended harmony is possible quickly with this process, especially with samplers.

The tonality of the synthesis, denoted the strange intimacy one experiences with the scent of flowers and plants when in their presence. The images of lilies and orchids came to mind when playing the chordal passages.
